Is it really free?+
Yes. The service is funded by lightweight ads on pages other than the inbox reader. No subscriptions, no paywall.
Do I need to sign up?+
No. The moment the homepage loads you have an address. A random session cookie keeps your inbox accessible from the same browser.
How long do messages last?+
By default, messages and the address itself auto-delete after 24 hours. A countdown is visible in the address bar.
Can I pick my own address?+
Yes. Click Customize, enter any available local-part (3–32 chars, letters/numbers/._- ), and pick from the available domains.
Can I send email from it?+
No. TempoMailer is receive-only. This keeps the service fast, clean, and impossible to abuse as a spam relay.
Can I receive attachments?+
You will see an attachment indicator on messages that have them, and you can view inline images. Large attachments may be truncated.
Is my mail encrypted?+
Messages are stored in our database and deleted automatically. For truly sensitive mail, use a dedicated end-to-end encrypted provider.
Why do some senders reject my TempoMailer address?+
Some services block known disposable-email domains. Try a different domain from the dropdown, or use a non-disposable email.
